A few years ago I searched one of those electronic dictionaries for words that contained sin in their definition. The definitions listed below were taken directly from that dictionary. I offer this list just as a point of interest.
absolution The formal remission of sin imparted by a priest, as in the sacrament of penance.
absolve 1. To pronounce clear of guilt or blame.
2. To relieve of a requirement or an obligation.

atone To make amends, as for a sin or fault: These crimes must be atoned for
attrition Theology. Repentance for sin motivated by fear of punishment rather than by love of God.
backslide To revert to sin or wrongdoing, especially in religious practice.
deadly sin One of the seven sins-anger, covetousness, envy, gluttony, lust, pride, and sloth-that are supposed to be fatal to one's spiritual development and progress.
debtor One who is guilty of a trespass or sin; a sinner.
err To violate accepted moral standards; sin.
fall To give in to temptation; sin. Fall. Theology. The loss of innocence and grace resulting from Adam's eating the forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden.
guilt The fact of being responsible for the commission of an offense. Guilty conduct; sin.
hell A state of separation from God
ill Evil; sin.
Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church. The doctrine that the Virgin Mary was conceived free from all stain of original sin.
impeccable Incapable of sin or wrongdoing.
impurity A state of immorality; sin.
indulgence Roman Catholic Church. The remission of temporal punishment still due for a sin that has been sacramentally absolved.
iniquity A grossly immoral act; a sin.
innocence Freedom from sin, moral wrong, or guilt through lack of knowledge of evil.
innocent Uncorrupted by evil, malice, or wrongdoing; sinless: an innocent child
judgment A misfortune believed to be sent by God as punishment for sin.
justify Theology. To free (a human being) of the guilt and penalty attached to grievous sin. Used only of God.
lapse A moral fall: a lapse from grace
moral . Of or concerned with the judgment of the goodness or badness of human action and character: moral scrutiny; a moral quandary.
2. Teaching or exhibiting goodness or correctness of character and behavior: a moral lesson.
3. Conforming to standards of what is right or just in behavior; virtuous: a moral life.
4. Arising from conscience or the sense of right and wrong: a moral obligation.
mortal sin A sin, such as first-degree murder or perjury, that is so heinous it deprives the soul of sanctifying grace and causes damnation.
offend To violate a moral or divine law; sin.
offense a transgression or a sin.
original sin the condition of sin that marks all human beings as a result of Adam's first act of disobedience.
peccable Liable to sin.
peccadillo A small sin or fault.
peccant Sinful; guilty.
peccavi A confession of sin.
Pelagianism The theological doctrine propounded by Pelagius, a British monk, and condemned as heresy by the Roman Catholic Church in A.D. 416. It denied original sin and affirmed the ability of human beings to be righteous by the exercise of free will.
penance 1. An act of self-mortification or devotion performed voluntarily to show sorrow for a sin or other wrongdoing.
2. A sacrament in some Christian churches that includes contrition, confession to a priest, acceptance of punishment, and absolution. In this sense, also called reconciliation.
punish To subject to a penalty for an offense, a sin, or a fault.
purgatorial Serving to purify of sin; expiatory.
purge To rid of sin, guilt, or defilement.
purify To free from sin, guilt, or other defilement.
purity Freedom from sin or guilt; innocence
ransom Theology. A redemption from sin and its consequences.
redemption Theology. Salvation from sin through Jesus's sacrifice.
remissible Being such that forgiveness is possible: a remissible sin.
repentance Remorse or contrition for past conduct or sin.
righteous Morally upright; without guilt or sin:
salvation Deliverance from the power or penalty of sin; redemption.
save To set free from the consequences of sin; redeem.
second blessing Sanctification of a Christian believer, considered as a gift of the Holy Spirit given after conversion and sometimes thought of as rendering the believer incapable of committing sin.
sin 1. A transgression of a religious or moral law, especially when deliberate.
2. Theology. a. Deliberate disobedience to the known will of God. b. A condition of estrangement from God resulting from such disobedience.
sinful Marked by or full of sin; wicked.
transgress To commit an offense by violating a law or command; sin.
trespass To commit an offense or a sin; transgress or err
venial sin . Roman Catholic Church. An offense that is judged to be minor or committed without deliberate intent and thus does not estrange the soul from the grace of God.
wage A fitting return; a recompense: the wages of sin.
